RDX Tires In Texas
Live in Dallas, TX - was going to buy the Continental tires, however discount tire is saying they will only last 22,000 miles with the weather we have in Texas (heat) and they don't recommend them. I am thinking they are partly saying this because its backordered. The guy was trying to sell me on Bridgestone Duelers.
I need a tire that lasts - threadlife is probably the most important thing since we get little to no snow in Texas. What are ya'll's recommendations? Stick with the Continentals (they should get more than 22,000 miles right?). I've read mixed reviews about the Yoko Avid Envigors, but they were looking like a second choice.

Love mine(Yoko), but the price reflects the handling. The Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus on our TL are the best all season tires that I have owned, but they are $300ea.

Michelin's in general are overpriced, and I was very disappointed with the stock Michelin's. Looking to get a tire under $200 that lasts long in the Texas heat. Does anyone have the Continentals in Texas? Do they last long, or is the 22,000 mile accurate? Will I get more out of the Yoko's? Any other suggestion?

I've got the Bridestone Dueler Alenza H/L for my 18" wheels and my 19"s and they wear like iron. I will admit you lose some handling with them, but with the SH-AWD system I don't think it's that big of a deal.
Unfortunately Bridestone's $100 rebate on them ran out at the end of Sept.
