Opinions on wheels for 2011 RDX

So, I will be needing a dedicated set of wheels for the summer. I have made my OM wheels only to be used with winter tires. I am now in search for a set of wheels to go on my Diamond White Pearl RDX.

Tires I will be using are the OEM 18" Michelin. Until they are completely warn down I will not be replacing them with a dedicated summer tire. Do you think it will look too small staying with the 18" wheels?

So far I have been looking at some XXR wheels such as these below, please let me know your opinions on the style and/or the brand as I have never used them before.
XXR 530 18x7.5

XXR 518 18x8.5

I am also interested in other options, but would like to keep it on a lower priced budget. Preferably I would like something concave like the XXR 530's Let me know what you think!

I like XXR 530 but it all comes down to personal preference.

What size do you like and what is your budget for the wheels and tires?

I am looking at keeping it 18" so I can use the tires I have already. Budget wise the lower the better, so keeping it within $1000 price point for just the wheels.

nah... 18's will be too small for the look you'll want. Out of those i like the 530's. You see the "U's" more with the 530... with the 518 i see misshapen "V's". just my opinion.

Axis has some nice concave style wheels. other models besides mine. also if you'd like a 19, there's always the wedssport SA-55 M. Beautiful wheel, used to be available with red as well, now options are blue or gunmetal with the black.. look em up.

Have not yet seen an 18" wheel that will look good on the RDX yet. But going to a bigger wheel size will take the cost of the wheels & tires out of reach. I did not want to spend an arm and a leg to get wheels. I would love to go 19" but there are no budget wheels that I have found.

Wedssport wheels I would love to get but once again $$$ for me. Keep in mind I do live in Canada as well so it is harder to get decent priced wheels up here. I am willing to buy from the US as well.

maybe run stockers one more summer then mount the winter tires on em? ...or part of the summer. better to save the money to get EXACTLY what you want, and not have to be regretfull later.

I agree with BigHatch, better to spend a little extra to buy what you really like than to settle (unless what you really like is something insanely out of reach).

Everyone has their own priorities and budgets so it's difficult to say. Rims personalize your car to your taste and are so visible to differentiate your car from anyone elses.

How about these rims, they are 18" Advanti Lupo in gloss black.

They only weigh approx. 21lbs.

I like the 530 the best. I went with 18" RonJons (now called Legacy7 Liquid Graphite) instead of upgrading to 19". The aftermarket set I picked did not come in 20". I might of pulled the trigger if 20" were available. I really did not see the point upgrading to 19" that cost twice as much (rims+new tires) compared to 18" rims and using existing tires.

I was able to get eibach springs+hondata+clear bra+front spoiler with the money I saved with the 18" and using the existing tires. You will get a smoother ride with 18" and a little less of chance of rim damage over pot holes compared to +19" rims (done this twice over the years).
