wspy 03-09-2011 07:07 AM

Good question!!

zerogravity 03-14-2011 05:07 PM

Even if they fit, the spring rate would be incorrect as the RDX outwieghts the CrV by more than 400lbs.

zerogravity 03-22-2011 04:04 PM

how about CRV coilovers?

wspy 03-22-2011 04:06 PM

^ Do they make em?

Ok, somebody feel free to please tell me why I'm wrong, but isn't this them: http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=EIBPROKT01&c=SU&year=2007&make=ACUR A&model=RDX:confused:

Mr Marco 04-13-2011 01:13 PM

^Probably out of stock as well. I tried to call them but no one answered the phone (no kidding). The part number shows as EIB4071540?

And they add to the cart just fine and go to checkout... but with my wheels, there's no way I can lower, so I'm not gonna purchase them lol.

TruckerBomb 04-13-2011 01:17 PM

hmm, I tried to Copy=Paste, but it didn't show up the same, but yes, the part number is
EIB4071540

TruckerBomb 04-13-2011 01:30 PM

I called them and they said they weren't in stock but could "Ship Tomorrow"... I told him that rumor has it that they're impossible to acquire, and was wondering if he could check to the accuracy of that claim. He called Eibach and (he tells me) Eibach told him: "They're discontinued and nobody can't get them." He went on to say "There are no other alternatives."

Sorry for the false hope guys!

My personal experience Honda OEM and Tokico blues(similiarly OEM honda and whatever OEMmake) w/ coils over shock Not really true coilovers. I now have real coilovers on my car.

RDX sidenote: Macs are in the front and multilink in the rear.

1. problem with lowerng a car/cuv/truck is that the spring may spring back but the dampener will not dampen right and blow out. I don't see too many dampeners on the after market as a single piston shock, adjustable or not.
2. In another since the products were probly pulled be cause of the dampeners: shocks being blown out because of lack of beefer dampeners, maybe...

Anyway "sometimes" springs have universal compatibility, dig into it see if you'll find an answer you want. But, I don't want the OP to quit looking or disuede him/her, just good luck not blowing the shocks out. Bump stops help, but at ~ 1000 lbs of force @1g a corner(2000+lbs @ 2gs,etc.) bump stops can only stop so much for so long.

Over at Honda tech these questions are a dime-a-dozen. I came across a guy wanting civic "true" coilovers on a prelude, even if they bolted up they'd prematurely die in vain.

Re-iter8ing the you'll wear out the dampeners extremely quick lowering it.

Thanks for the info... to the looks of its seen better to just leave it alone or atlease untill I can figure out a damper solution

H&R springs makes some for the CR-V. Don't know that they'll work but maybe call 'em and ask.

Oh duh.. wspy had already pointed some out...

Kaze66218 05-15-2011 10:04 AM

You can probably convince eibach to do a "special" re-run of these coil kits, but the ride quality after the dampeners fail.... weird handling and bouncy ride. After the coil overs at KSport, I'll look into the eibach coils for y'all.

I can get things moving if you can't, don't worry. I'll try and see if eibach will do some shocks too. OEM :ugh: sux 07 with 09 ride :ugh: :ugh: this should tear open the after market suspension for us.
