Time for Tune Up?
I have a 2007 RDX with approx 51k miles on it. I recently took it in for some last minute trim warranty work. They gave me a 2011 RDX as a loaner.
I immediately noticed two things. The 2011 had better initial acceleration, with no apparent turbo lag, and the the brake pedal had a much firmer feel.
I've never changed the plugs, but clean and re-oil my K&N Typhoon air filter every 5k miles.
Has Acura remapped the ECU one the newer cars to eliminate the turbo lag?
Is it time to replace the spark plugs? If so, what else should be done during the tune up?
Will installing stainless steel brake lines give a firmer brake pedal? I had the dealer flush the brake system at about 45k miles.

I would be interested in how you can get a 2007 RDX to drive like a 2011. I have driven both and think it is assuming a lot that a tune-up and stainless steel brakelines can replicate the modifications made to the RDX since 2007. There is also a fuel economy difference. I had a 2011 loaner for a few days and noticed a braking difference from my 2009 but didn't think it was +/-.
