Strange noise coming from the front...
Hey everyone
I have a 07 RDX with 18,000 miles on it. I was up in Cape Cod for the weekend and when I was coming back to my car and turned it on, put the windows down, I heard some high pitched noise, kind of like maybe a belt noise or something, I really don't know much about cars in technical sense but the only way i can explain it is you know when you hear cars that make that noise when starting to accelerate or when idol and its sounds high pitch. Although this noise was not that high, but It was definitely noticeable. I thought maybe it was the air conditioner but when I turned it off it kept doing it, then i thought maybe the moisture of the air, i dunno. it made the noise when the car was stationary and when it was traveling at like low speeds up to 15mph. but once i accelerate and go at higher speeds its gone and you hear nothing. i couldnt do anything so i let it go, then I listened for it the next day and I didn't hear it at all the whole day. But when we got back in the car before we headed back to jersey, we were in a garage, and the sound came back! and echoed in the garage, i dunno what it is, I dunno if its normal, It's so hard to explain, i was just wondering if anyone else has or had this issue. I know when i bring it in, and try and hope its recreated for the dealer, it prob wont and ill look like a retard, and when i get home it'll be making the noise. if someone can help it would be much appreciated!!! thanks

Hey Mark,I got my 07 RDX last week. 40k miles. my did the same sounds high pitch when i took off hard on 1st gear. 2 time other day. today did again but i did not speed up that much but still did mind.
i'm auto tech. for 15 years. i will fid out soon what causing that high pitching sound.

Its funny you mention this. I have the keyless autostart on my RDX and one time as I was approaching the car and it started I heard a belt noise for like 2 seconds. This was in the winter time. I never hear a belt noise again after that (knock on wood).
