Power Seat Repair

Hello,
I wanted to pass along the following info - My power seat adjustment for the up/down on the front of the seat failed.
2007 RDX Tech. While at the dealer getting some routine maintenance done I asked for an estimate to repair. As has been noted in some other threads, they told me that they could not 'repair' the seat, and gave me a $1200 USD estimate to change the whole seat because individual motors and the switch could not be changed or debugged.
When they sent service feedback to me I told them that it was a shame that they did not have any mechanics working in the dealer and that it tarnished the dealer and Acura’s reputation for ease of ownership to hit me with a major expense because it was too hard to fix the old fashioned way.

This netted the appropriate result - lo and behold they found that the motor could be changed, sourced a part and repaired the seat for $350.

Thank you McGrath Acura of Westmont IL, and Ed and Amy the service writers who helped make this right.

It may be that there are problems with the seat that really require replacement, but the front motor is not one of them.
