PLEASE HELP! 2011 RDX-Steering Wheel Lighting on Buttons

I just bought my 2011 RDX Tech and love it! Just trying to figure out why the buttons are so dull when the lights are on at night? I have the dash on the brightest setting. Is this normal or a problem? Please help.

The brightness adjustment doesn't affect the steering wheel button backlights =/. They're just dim like that and there's nothing we can do about it. I wish mine were brighter too.
