Little Things We'd fix if we were Acura
Thought it might be cool to start a list of things that we'd fix in the RDX if we were Acura. This thread isn't for aftermarket or modifications... just the things that we wish worked differently, or MINOR modifications we'd add if we could.
I thought I'd ask that the thread be SHORT answers in a specific format. So, I thought I'd suggest the following
YEAR - TRIM - ITEM (short explanation, please.)
I'll start off with the following:
08 - Tech - Audio volume should reset to a preset level after ignition shutoff.
08 - Tech - Cargo light should be brighter or placed more effectively, or both.
08 - Tech - Wish there were convenience (puddle) lamps on rear doors.
08 - Tech - MID display should be sticky (keep the last setting I used after shutoff.)
08 - Tech - HFL info should display on the NAV screen (like BMWs).
08 - Tech - Power point in cargo area.
08 - Tech - Aux input for audio INSIDE center console.
08 - Tech - Retained power function for a set time period instead of door open.

08 - Tech - Move the dash dimmer to someplace that can be reached - really - WTF were they thinking?
08 - Tech - Seat heater in the seatback of the passenger seat, not just a bun warmer
08 - Tech - line the door pocket boxes with soft material like felt so you can store your sunglasses in them.
08 - Tech - move the air temp display so passenger can see it too.

RDX Base 2008. I am surprised at a couple of things:
1. No compass? Seriously, far less expensive cars at least have one in the mirror.
2. Monochrome display for the center screen (I think someone else mentioned it)
3. Autodimming drivers side mirror is standard on many other similarly equipped cars.
4. Auto-on headlights would be nice.
Overall very pleased with it, but the things listed here just seem odd considering the rest of the 'appointments'.
Thoughts?

09 - Tech - Allow the damn audio system to play video DVDs (at least when parked, and the audio portion while driving).
09 - Tech - Move to LED backlighting for the nav display. The current display is far to dim in direct sunlight, and in cold weather it takes a long time to brighten up.
I don't understnd the request for a monochrome center display. You mean you want black and white instead of color? Sounds kinda backwards to me.

What I meant is that I'm surprised that it's monochrome...I have the base and the rest of the displays are nicely colored or backlit...the center display should be as well. It looks cheap to me considering the rest of the color scheme for backlighting.
