Gas Pedal Vibration

Gas Pedal Vibration
Hi all,
I have a 2007 Acura RDX with 106k. I purchased it around a year ago and recently within the past couple of weeks I've noticed that there is a slight vibration in the gas pedal whenever I go between 1500-2500 rpms. I'm in Ohio here so the 20-some degree weather may be playing a factor here but I always keep it in a garage and this problem only recently started happening. Before the problem started my car did briefly give me a P0842 code and then went away. I'm also thinking that maybe my car's brakes or tires may have something to do with the problem. Any ideas?

What does that code mean? I have an FSM (factory service manual), but it is not indexed, so I have no easy way to find a definition.
Since the throttle pedal is only mechanically connected to the floor, because its DBW (drive by wire), the symptom that you describe seems odd. Are you certain that the vibe you are feeling is not just in the floor? i.e., nothing to do with the throttle itself?

I tried to feel around with my other foot while driving and couldn't feel any vibration in the floor. It seems to be exclusively in the gas pedal. The P0842 code only appeared on my dashboard for a few seconds until I restarted my car. The diagnostic message is dated Jan 13/2013 and no lights have appeared on my dash since. The message the diagnostic system gives me for the P0842 code is "The transmission is not working properly. Gear shifting may feel rough." Again, not sure if this is even remotely related but I do feel it when most when the car is in second gear, and only when the vehicle is in motion and I'm accelerating.

From Honda-tech.com:
P0842 Short in 2nd Clutch Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch Clutch, or 2nd Clutch Transmission Fluid Pressure Switch (Clutch) Stuck ON
How's your tranny fluid level?
