Unfortunately that small pipe that the hose is attaching to is where it's coming from, which means the whole exhaust manifold would have to be replaced. Given the rust, it's not overly surprising that it leaks. There's a very small possibility of taking that hose off, cleaning up the pipe with some sand paper or something similar if it's not completely rusted through, and then using a worm clamp to put it back on. Those resistance clamps are awful in my opinion as they lose tension over the years and don't hold properly.

wellhellwtvr215, thanks for the quick response! Are you talking about that piece of metal going into the hose ? I can try cleaning it up and putting a new clamp on it...any recommendations on what to clean the metal piece with?

Yes the piece that the hose is connected to. It's a pipe thats pressed in to the exhaust manifold.

You can use some low grit sand paper like 1000 grit or something like that, scotch pads can be used, just something that will take the buildup off and leave clean metal without damaging the pipe.

hi guys, issue still persists, so back to the drawing board. I believe it is leaking from this coolant pipe going to the exhaust manifold. part number 10 and 14 in this link, https://www.acurapartswarehouse.com/...5-rwc-a00.html

however, to replace the pipe i need to remove part number 19 which is a bolt into the exhaust manifold. I've tried with my ratchet set but was unable to make it budge, so i've been spraying penetrating oil on it in hopes of it loosening up. I have the new o ring, pipe and new bolt ready to go. any ideas on how to remove this? its very tight space in there so i don't know how i'd be able to get a torch in there. any help would be greatly appreciated.

When mine developed this leak, I took it to my mechanic, and he diagnosed that there was actually a leak between the manifold and the engine based on the level of corrosion and dried crusty coolant in the area. He suggested since it was a 2007, it was not an economical fix to have to pull the engine, remove the manifold and replace everything to stop the leak. I was not convinced it was leaking in the spot he had suggested, so I simply asked him to remove that hose, clean it up and replace with a new clamp, which he did....for $20. Problem solved. Now, that only fixes, and likely temporarily, the problem on that side of the manifold, the other side, which is nearly inaccessible with the engine in the car, is far more corroded, and likely to fail at any time. And I am not sure where the items above, #10 and #14 are located, but in my case, and in the case of the pictures above, it is the manifold piping that needs to be replaced, and that means pulling the engine, and stripping everything off the back end and replacing the manifold. Not economical for me, so if that stuff fails, I'm driving it to the junk yard. Which is a shame, because the car is otherwise very reliable and performs well, just Acura's first attempt at a turbo and we are the guinea pigs.
