Center Console Cover Rattling?

Hey guys was wondering if you guys have this problem. The cover of the center storage console has been rattling a bit and I have no clue how to stop it. I've grown use to using it as a arm rest but when I don't the rattle comes back and it drives me nuts. Anything I can tighten to make it stop?

Our center console rattles also. The console cover only seems to rattle when a passenger places his arm on the cover. By placing your arm on the console lid, it causes something inside to touch. For now, this is not a big issue but I thought I would bring this up when I go in for an oil change. FYI: My RDX is a 2010.

I had a 1999 TL. They had a pull out extending armrest. They rattled like crazy. I eventually got it to stop, but lost the ability to extend.

There are many things that could be rattling. It may just be the plastic on plastic from the lid to the console. If it is that, some LRF's might work. (LRF=little rubber feet). If it is something inside the lid--good luck with the dealer. It may be cured by simply replacing the lid.

Yes same rattle issue here. It seems to come from the coin holder do-hickey, at least on mine.

Hmmm, I think it might be the latch when I close the lid. It stops rattling if I close it a certain way. I think I might use some of those rubber feet brizey, maybe it'll make the lid latch a little tighter if I raid the lid up a bit.

And the rattle is loud enough to be annoying, like a phone vibrating constantly.

Vrflyer, did you stuff any coins in there to try to stop it?

No, I think the coins would probably make it worse. After spending some time looking at it, it seems the plastics they have used are too thin & low quality = prone to rattle.

I thought it was the latch too that was causing the rattle noise, but in the end it wasn't. The cover is a two-piece part (top and bottom), I placed a small bit of super glue in the channel between the two pieces and vola! - no more rattle. I openned the cover and placed the small bit of glue basically in the middle of the channel - try it, it will work.
