Anyone notice a loud 'clicking' sound when shifting to drive or reverse?

I am a fairly new owner of my 07 RDX and have some questions about shifting gears. Recently I've been hearing a single loud clicking noise when shifting from reverse to drive or vice versa. The sound seems to be less louder if I leave it on neutral a few seconds when shifting to drive/reverse. Also the shifter seems to be a bit stiffer than other cars I've driven in the past. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Sorry if this is the wrong place.

It happened to mine and my other FWD cars too, especially when I go from reverse to drive. The 'click' doesn't come in the gear shift, it comes after the shift, right when the wheels start rolling.

I get the same clicking noise and I honestly don't think its normal. The clicking at times is louder that other time and sometimes it doesn't even click. Wish it didn't click at all

My experience

I think its common in automatic honda transmissions...

I noticed this on my AWD Element, 08 Civic, 2010 accord coupe, and now 08 RDX- ALL are automatic transmissions / made the same click once load & motion was placed on trans.

I also noticed if you come to a complete stop, then shift gears and s l o w l y allow the car to role into motion; the click is very minimal or simply wont accrue.

I think its safe to say ur good, although i'm no honda tech.
