Exclamation the '08 rattle & pass airbag light. - duno if ist solved from '07 please help

I just recently discovered(heard) minor rattling around the passenger side area.
I've read before it could have been something w/ the seatbelt.
But i've pulled out the seatbelt all the way, and let it go back in, and I still hear Rattle.
Could it be something w/ the door(tried swinging the door gently to hear, but not a drop).
(usually when I start braking towards a red-light/stop sign, I hear minor rattle coming either from the front passenger seat or door?? Can' define def. location cause I'm sorta in the midst of driving to hear it).

just irks me that it happens.

(i'm @ 1650m - 50% oil life), I'm guessing my oil change/a1 service will be due @ around - 3300-3500 range maybe? (i'm definitely going to bring it up @ the dealer).

And for the A1 service, they do oil change & tire rotation?
What else do they do?

Any fixes or suggestions?

Also - weight distrution issue - on front passenger side.
Sasair had this I think?
But I put a gym back on the Passenger side front, and the "PASSANGER AIRBAG "OFF" - orange light went on.

As Soon as I took it off the seat, and put it in the back, no problem.
I'm guessing it's the weight or so, but honestly..REALLY? passenger airbag light ON b/c of a GYM BAG? doesn't make too much sense @ all.(I think this is explained somewhere in the manual, but I don' t have it on me, but I will take a look once I get off work)

Also, minor rattling when the front windows(driver & passenger side), the windows are down a little bit, the windows seem to rattle a bit - though minor(I think MAV had this issue).

SUGGESTIONS PLEASE? thanx.

I believe the airbag turns off for safety reason with children. It has a weight sensor that reads the weight in the seat. At smaller weights it turns off. I think it is a good idea, doesnt nag me at all.

Airbag light is doing what its supposed to do, it shuts off when it detects small amt of weight, how small? who knows.....the light def went on with my work bag on the seat that cant weigh more than 10lbs lol so

as far as the rattle goes....the passenger seat is lighter weight and the rattle you could be hearing is fromthe shuddering of the upper portion (back of the seat) shaking around. thats my best guess...i noticed it in my car and if i just applied pressure to the back portion it was would stop shaking thus stop making noise.

im still waiting on delivery of my 08!!!

You currenlty have an '07 MIKE?
And want an '08?

I need to move everything out of my glove compartment and center console, to pinpoint the direct issue.
I'll re-adjust the seat once I get off work also.
Slowly going thru it.
I'll keep you all up to date.
but if you have any suggestion in the meantime w/ rattling
weight distribuation on the passenger seat
and/or the 2 front driver/passenger window rattle issue(w/ windows open very lil).
let me know.
thanks.

i have an 07.....with a serious roof problem, they are locating a 2008 polished metallic match/replacement so im waiting on my vehicle to arrive at the dealer

my 07 currently has the window rattles when open a few inches...seems like nothing can be done about that one either.

another rattle mine had was, and a place you can def check, top right passenger corner of the dash where the plastic meets the windshield...there was enough play in the plastic that it would make a ticking sound while driving because it was lightly smaking the glass over bumps, at first i thought it was the glove box and then i found the play in the plastic.

Hm...Doesnt seem the dashboard/plastic area w/ the windshield meets is a problem
I currently own TECh polished metal - its SEXIII thats for sure.
I guess they still can't figure out the window - w/ a couple of inches open thing.
hm...I'm going to bring it up to them.
As for the rattle, I think there could a be a loose screw tha fell out, so when I move, i hear the rattle noise.
I took everything out also.
I'll let u know in a couple of days.

I used to have a rattle up front in the passenger area. Finally found it was a maglite I had in the glove compartment. Empty your glove compartment and drive it around for the sound.

And yes, your airbag problem is not a problem. It is functioning perfectly. Last thing you need is your airbag deploying to save your gym bag..... Those airbags are expensive!

Alright, took everything out from center console, and Glove compartment.
There's definitely something rattling around and under the front passenger side seat.
I'm honestly ...no BS, thinking there's like a screw rolling around.
otherwise, it wouldn't making that noise when I break, or the sound of something rolling around.

other then that...
Sas, did you have that issue w/ the windows rattling when the 2 front windows are open just a couple of inches? I don't think they ever found a correction to this.

I haven't had any issues with the windows rattling in any position.

As for the rattle you think is a screw, it very well could be something that has fallen into your floor vents under the seat. I had a girl in the back seat that had a pearl bracelet break apart and pearls went everywhere. The hardest ones to deal with were the ones that found their way into the floor vents under the seats. They roll around in there and drive you bonkers. They are hard to get at too without removing the seats and pulling the carpet up. From your last description it sounds like this is where the noise is coming from.

I'm pretty sure Sas, that we've both pintpointed the issue.
But this is something the dealers should look for rite?
I tried digging my hand under, but...yeah....not so good on my part..didn't fair to well cause I didnt get anything..but thats life..
But anywhoo.how did you solve you issue?
You just brought it back to the dealer and head them look @ it? And/or you tried doing it yourself?

I did it myself and got the pearls out. You could ask the dealer to do it, but they may charge you for it if its something you dropped on the floor and rolled in there.

Wait, Did you pull the carpet out? and/or Take the seat out?
Don't you have to unplug the things from the seat?
I don't think I should be liable for them not screwing stuff in all the way, or leaving an extra screw/lug nut in my car rite?

And For the A1(the 1st thing) did you get yours for free?
or you had to pay for it?
And the A1 = oil change, and tire rotation right?

To get the seat out it is just 4 bolts and a wiring harness. then you can figure out the carpet after that. If they find that it is a car screw that has come undone, then I would think they wouldn't charge you anything for it. But if they find it is something that you or one of your passengers dropped down there and kicked into there then I would think they would charge you. I would think the latter scenario would be more likely as there aren't many, if any, screws around that area.

Hm..seems like a plan.
How long was the sequence?
2-4 hours given?
And tools needed?
Seems like there are alot of wires under the seat also, that's why.

I'm guessing four pieces of plastic around the seat tracks are hiding the bolts.

hmmm, I've not noticed anything so far, and it is getting pretty cold here. Is it just when you get started or after driving a while?
