07 RDX - Engine and SH-AWD Lights (codes inside)

My engine and sh-awd lights came on recently ive been trying to figure out what it is.
Before I start I had the transmission swapped for a used one about a year ago and didnt have any problems till now.

I got my car scanned this morning and they cleared the codes and the lights have been off since.

These are the codes.

77-1 - Permanent DTC - The functional abnormalities of fuel emission or automatic transmission

0556 - see manual

15BA - see manual

45-2 (P0171) - Fuel System too lean B1

Now my mechanic told me to deal with the 77-1 first and its some system update the dealer has to do for me. It's possible it'll fix the other ones also.

My brother has been driving this car around and he didn't maintain it very well. He's been pumping 87 Octane gas for about 8 months. Not sure if that could be the cause too.

My buddy told me to change the air filter, so i'll be trying to this weekend also.

Anyone have any experiences with these codes on their RDX?

I would start by clean the fuel system, then gas filter, and only using 91 octane. It may be that your fuel injector may start getting clogged

x2 on the kick the shit out of your brother. and start by cleaning everything. all the filters replace them air, fuel, transmission and engine. get all the fluids changed: power steering, transmission, transfer case, rear differential, coolant, and engine oil. if this doesn't help clear up you issues then get to the "stealership" and get it checked out. after you get a quote for repairs post it and have the community take a look.

hey brother I know this post is old but may be someone can help me out .today I was cheking my 2010 Acura MDX for stored DTC in my ecu and I found a code in the all wheels system the code is the same at your 77-1 did you fix it with the transmission update . I did have some issue with the second and third gear shift I feel like a jerk forward when the trans is changing gear from 1 to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. There isn’t enough info about this code 77-1 on google.

P0171

A bit late to the party but maybe this will help someone else with older RDX out.

I got a code P0171 on my 08 RDX, turned out I had large tear in the cold air intake hose (tube that goes to throttle body).

I had been hearing a lot of turbo woosh recently, kinda liked it until the code got thrown.
