Yo buddy,

Just be ready, most people here are going to ask what your goals are and that your money is better spent elsewhere. But ultimately it's your car, and you should do with it what you want.

I run the CP-E intake. I feel like it opened it up a touch, and it's noisy which I personally enjoy. Given no air boxes or anything else also means the bypass valve gets louder as well.

I would however tell you to keep away from the Weapon-R intake, as there's been plenty of bad experiences everywhere, including having check engine lights and the like. Either stick with K&N or CP-E or have one custom built. Otherwise, there's not much option.

Take it easy!

Thanks, that's good to know as I was considering the weapon-r. Definitely going to rethink that now. Appreciate the input!

I’m new here as well but based on my research Shane nailed it on the head. A custom intake is really the only way to get a true aftermarket cold air intake.

Good evening,

I have the K&N cold air intake and it is super easy to install. They are also the most reputable cold air intake company in the world. It even comes with a carb exemption sticker. The instructions are the easiest and you can install it yourself with basic tools in no time. Plus, it’s the only one that comes with dyno proven results. It doesn’t make you run lean or throw check engine lights. You get what you pay for in my opinion...

K&N typhoon SRI (second purchase) Flashpro was first purchase...now addicted have RV6 downpipe highflow cat on order. need advice on injectors but not sure who to ask.
Regarding the K&N typhoon SRI, I like the initial sound and based on anecdotal youtube research lol...SRI needs the Flashpro calibration to give you to any benefit.

I'm going to be creating my own cold air intake. I'm going to buy a good amount of tubing and run it to sit behind the bumper. I looked at all the cheap and high quality intakes and they all sit in the same area. I don't like where thats at so custom is the way I'm going.
