upgrade those turbos
#6
It's possible, someone just needs to spend some time.
It's a bit of a stretch, but I bet you could get to 400 at the crank if you did all the possible mods today.
1: reprogram would be needed at some point
2: Church exhaust
and then do what other people do with turbos:
3: alcohol injection
The alcohol injection would effectively keep the intake cool, and raise the octane a large enough amount to increase the timing a lot. Probably a 40 horsepower boost on top of everything else. Maybe only 350 horsepower...soo.....
the big hit
4: nitrous kit
If you wanted to try it out 'safely', use a progessive kit with the nitrous and it wouldn't 'hit' toooo hard and would be a blast. I bet a 75 horsepower kit would be phenomenal.
The whole trick here would be the programming to help keep it safe.

Hey vrflyer!!! U mentioned the Neptune ECU... I have searched this forum to see if the Neptune ECU has been installed or work in an 07 RDX however u are the only one who has mentioned it... I have several converted to OBD1 Neptune (board) ECUs in my other Hondas... Is the RDX capable of being converted from OBDII to OBD1 for an programmable OBD1 ECU? I have found a few harness adapters however no OBD1 EMS. I am going to send Neptune an email asking... Do you know what gains were achieved from the Hondata?
Thanks Man

Cool... I wasnt aware the Flashpro had those capabilities... So i can plug in my laptop and set the parameters to have throttled (4000 rpms or so) boosted (5psi or so) launches like Neptune? not that i would on my RDX... I do on my race lude.

Honestly i don't know about that. It was just released for the rdx about a month ago. Haven't ordered one yet. Not really sure if there would be anything to help with launching.

Yea I know it was an old thread however it was the only one that had the word "Neptune" when i did the advance search...
JR from Neptune said His "Other Company" is working on an EMS for the RDX Platform however couldn't give me a time when it would be available... I guess i will check into the flash pro.
BTW... were U aware that the stock ECU will build boost if you press on the brake and gas from a stop? its slow to build boost and a weak launch however does work. I am curios now how and if it works with the flash pro.
