Is anyone running a 255/50/18R tire on the stock RDX 18" wheel. I purchased these because the supplier didn't have the stock size available at the time of purchase. They are Nitto brand and are approx. the same height but have a section width about 3/4" wider than the stock tire. I want to be sure that they don't rub any of the suspension parts.

That should be fine fit wise although you'll have a less stiff sidewall (more bubble) increasing turn-to-turn roll feel.

Thanks for the reply. I think I can deal with the slight change in handling as long as the fitment is ok.

Yokohama has a new tire, the Envigor, sold by the TireRack, in this size. Currently advertised for $150/tire at the TireRack.

It's supposed to give as good tire wear and traction, but a more comfortable ride.

TireRack has tire circumference measurements that help assure you that don't throw your speedometer/odometer off.

If I remember right, the Envigor in this 255/55 18 size was very close to the circumference of the OEM Michelins.

When I finally need new tires, I'll probably buy these Envigors.

Yeah, Yokohama makes a great tire, but just for kicks, checkout the Nitto 255/50/18 - 420S on the Discount Tire Direct site. The tread pattern is awesome and the reviews are great. The circumference and sidewall height is almost identical to the 235/55/18R that is stock on the RDX. Just about .79" wider at the section width.
