im getting my hondata fri and was looking at the intake and saw how restrictive it was.. so i took the (snorkel) off and cut it off right after the silencer box i will post pics soon i no people took the whole thing off and lost power but some one hit that side of my car in a parking lot and the fog light brackets popped off so now i have a hole were the fog light is.. and that gave me this idea beacuse now air that is entering from there is going into the intake. i will test it friday wen i get my ecu bak ill make a video and keep u guys posted

i also took the engine cover off is it ok to drive with it off? i feel like the intercooler will get more air in

more air will fly past the IC. that cover mates up to the seal that comes off the air dam attached to the hood. also, the reason people lose power by cutting off the snorkel is due to the intake suckin in the hot air in the engine bay. The maf sensor plays a big part in the performance of your car. if it starts to see hot air, it will react by retarding a lil timing.

i cut it so it has a lil ram air from the fog light because it poped out so there is a hole there so basically i have ram air lol
