K-Sport BBK installed

I finally got the K-Sport BBK on my RDX and it's pretty good so far. There is a little rotating noise that I'm sure will go away after the break in period but my mechanic is sure that if that isn't the fix then they can add another shim to the brake pad. Stopping power is incredibly powerful and looks great as well.
I based my mod off of Kenb350z's recommendation although I didn't go quite as big as he did. The option was from the 07+ Honda CRV although I think K-Sport may add these parts under the Acura listing now.

I went with the following options:
14" Slotted Rotors Front and Rear
8-Piston Front Calipers, 4-Piston Rear Calipers in RED
Street Pads.
The kit came with SS Lines and I went with a DOT4 Synthetic fluid the shop offered.

Tire/Rim Size: 275/40/20X10

$4,050 Shipped. $520 Installation.

nice looking did you do 60 - 0 testing before and after to help quantify the results? kind of like base line dyno numbers.?.

Yes, these were a direct replacement. The noise was coming from the passenger dust sheild which was hitting the ball joint. We probably got this issue because we decided to go against the intructions of cutting them and just bent them back to clear the calipers.

I didn't do any official testing but I can tell you that you have to depress the pedal about 20% vs 60% to get the same effect.

I wanted an upgrade because of all my go fast mods after the third hard stop the original brakes were making noises and felt like they were giving out.

The stoptech stage 2 kit would be more than enough of an upgrade but you won't get the look of the big calipers to complement the larger wheels I went with. I will probably get a spacer so I have options to use the oem 18's or optional 19's. Just so I'm not "married" to these TSW's. Also another reason I went with 14" rotors vs 15" or 16".

Bro, they look great. And this isn't Car and Driver for those who want test results.

The Tech was really impressed with a stopping test we did on the freeway from 70mph. I made sure no other cars were around me and basically threw him forward. pretty funny.
I can't get over how powerful the brake system is now. The stock units were a little undersized for this vehicle having so much more power over the CR-V, then adding 100HP to that they were really undersized.
Also these new calipers are noticeably lighter vs the stock ones. I didn't have a scale handy but I would guess about 2lbs lighter.
