J and R Performance's RDX ECU
Rodney from J and R performance has agreed the r&d an ecu for our RDX's. They a RDX in shop for maybe a week. Our mission now is to find someone in, close enough, or just willing travel to them in Florida. The TL side of the forum seem to have good reviews. Lets make this happening!

I'm about to get my J&R ECU next week!
although, its very exciting its not exactly plug and play.
you WILL need to learn how to read your car via knock sensors and air fuel ratio gauges.
other than that, I'm super excited to feel the gains on my '06 6MT TL.
the base tune should give me 20hp/20tq.

Bump this thread up - anyone down south want to help out the RDX members?
This can be a big gain/change in the RDX forums since 2006.
We already have the coilover and TMIC products.

I recall that C&P was providing loaner a while ago for product development.
Never hurt to ask - they might have a beater just park in their shop for client's dropping their cars off.

Maybe the guy that drops his car off can have their ecu price compensated based on the price of a rental car for the week. One way depending on how many of there is we could pay a few bucks extra to cover it, only if proof is shown a rental is needed and used....

Yeah if the cost of the ECU is compensated i'd be down to do it

After the holiday, an econobox rental can't be more than $150-200 for the week.
So I feel like we need a list since that seems like the way JRP does their business anyway and to see how many people are actually down for this?
1. Integratype-s
2.

Why don't we ask Rondey from J and R Performance fill us in more ?
rather than others guessing around.
He is active in TL section as member - pass427
I searched last night & didn't gather much info. for their J&R ECU for TL either
found our R&D vehicle is priority
good communication with Rondey is KEY

there are not many answers because this is a totally NEW product, without much cash support.
I still havent received my unit, yet. but I did get a tracking number.
Like i said, earlier.... on the TL side, we're finding that it ISNT a simple plug and play. for us N/A guys, its not that worrisome because we cant blow the motor with incorrect AFR.
but you guys are BOOSTED. you will need to watch your AFR and KNOCK.
we're also getting lots and lots of CELs.
but the product does deliver.
gains through out the power band.
the ecu does come with a base tune, but it is recommended to go get dyno tuned.
because every ones elevation and temperature is different.
and like earlier stated, BOOSTED cars need to have the correct fuel trim applied.

OVER TIME, Rodney is trying to work out the kinks.
but being a ONE MAN TEAM, its hard. ESPECIALLY without capital.
the TL side was so excited in this ground breaking event.
BELIEVE ME, the product delivers. you will GAIN throughout the powerband; but with caveats as of now.
Personally, IDGAF about the check engine lights.
this is my race car.
Alas, Rodney has the best customer service.
HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU STRANDED.
Over time, the kinks will be worked out.
and I am excited to be one of the first to have this ECU.

Bump so I've spoke with Rodney and he agreed to hop on here and clear up some of the mis-information. Also he said that there is a magazine feature of a possible new hondata system for the rdx? Has everyone seen anything at the news stands. I don't know which mag but I can't find Honda tuning anywhere so maybe that's the one.

Can you see if you can find out which magazine as I spoke with Hondata a few weeks earlier and was advised that they was nothing in the works.
Perhaps it is a surprise?
