Post E-Tunez RDX Tuning

"Welcome to E-Tunez, the original online engine and ECU tuning specialists!" - E-Tunez.com

I am starting this thread for peeps who are interested in purchasing a tune for their RDX. As well as to show everyone's experience, performance gains, and tuning accomplishments through E-Tunez.
I am not affiliated with E-Tunez in any way. My reasoning for posting this thread, is recently Vit Viper no longer offers a tune for the RDX and is only offering MoTeC solutions.
Still wanting to purchase a tune for my RDX, I came across E-Tunez as not only a replacement but an exceptional option to anyone looking for a tune.

Steve (owner of E-Tunez) has been tuning EFI based engines for over 10 years and from my experience, truly knows what he is doing. From what I read, Vit Viper even worked for him in the past.
Below is a list of Useful links if you are interested in tuning your RDX!!

I just got my first revision from D Rob. Injectors are installed and the car is running. Haven't been driving it hard yet. Waiting for his response to my datalogs.

I just got my 2nd revision today and flashed it to my car. Seems the same as the first revision but I think he's tweaked it a bit. I'm finding the car idles a bit high (around 1000). Maybe future revisions will correct this.

I’m sure he can correct that for you (make sure to let them know). Mine idles around 750. Maybe the difference is the injectors.. They’re pretty conservative with their revisions (in a good way).

I purchased the deatschwerks 800cc injectors. Running great so far with the stock fuel pump. They also altered the latency of my injectors into the tune, which may help your idle. I’m sure the ID’s will do fine.

Yeah I trust D Rob will see that himself. I don't want to keep asking him questions lol. Rather let the master work his magic. How noticeable is the increase in power so far?

That 1,000 rpm idle seems really high...that’s like a warm up rpm. It doesn’t go below 1,000 rpm? I wonder how my truck will idle with the 800cc injectors and the 340 liters per hour fuel pump...

Yeah I know. I ended up mentonioning it to him when I sent him my data logs for the second revision. Hoping it’s an easy fix.

I just checked their website. They are closed this weekend. Hopefully he can send me a revision to test this weekend. Fingers crossed. Would like to see it idle right at least

FYI If anyone is wondering, the tune mistryp purchased is through DRob @ Innovative Motor Works (not E-Tunez). Figured I would clear that up so peeps wouldn't be confused .

Update on my Tune from Etunez.

I received my final revision recently. Current setup is as follows.
2009 Acura RDX, RV6 Downpipe, ETS Intercooler, DW 800cc Injectors, TurboSmart BOV, SH-AWD, and 91 pump w/ 10% E

My experience with Etunez went very well. Nine Revisions were received, and each one in less then 24hrs of my Datalog. I even received a couple on a Sunday night within a few hrs.
RDX is running amazing at the moment. Transitions are extremely smooth and that twin scroll turbo spools up instantly.
I highly recommend Etunez to anyone looking for a Tune. Steve is an expert Tuner/Teacher and will take care of you.
I most likely am done modding my RDX as I am content with my current setup.
On another note Steve offers a FlexFuel tune for e85 which I may pursue in the future. Great option if you'd like to run both e85 and Pump.
If you have any questions surrounding my experience feel free to message me!

So Etunez is the way to go, thanks. What kind of power did your final tune leave you with?

D Robs tune is great! It was $400 for the etune. I’m thinking about upgrading the turbo now lol and then getting it retuned, but i have to ask him first.

Yeah I emailed twice. Sounds like calling is a better route to get in touch with them. Did they give you a quote for the upgrade?

Yeah, they gave me a price over the phone 📱 but I forgot it was while ago. I decided to do other supporting upgrades first. Try giving them a call, but next week is the big holiday 🦃 so it might be a little harder to get in touch with them now.

Steve is a great guy at etunez but hes not vit and never will be. Ive known Steve since 2011 and he tuned my 8th gen Si. In my opinion, he tuned it decent but didnt fully tune it , he never tuned the iat comp table so the fueling adjust when temps are cold outside and when asked he said that had be tuned separate and asked for more money. So at that point vit was working for steve and i emailed him about it and vit took care of me. Vit left not real long later started his own business. Vit was the best in my opinion, when he was done you knew it was right.
