09 Hondata + CP-E dyno numbers

I just put in the Hondata. Butt dyno likes and this is how they should have made the car. Here are the numbers. Basic run was with just the CP-E and the other pull was with the Hondata. This was done on a Land and Sea dyno. Sorry if you can't see the numbers.

Try this to see it better http://images17.fotki.com/v529/file6...25/Pic0001.jpg

Numbers look good. Whats the serial number of your ECU? I dont see that 2009 are available to be reflashed on the HONDATA website. I have a 2010 and want mine done, but they told me they might not be offering this upgrade.

Call a HONDATA dealer with the numbers off your ECU (the '09 is RWC-27A, I believe...). Even though it's not listed on their website, a tune for the '09 is available. Might be the same for the '10, you'll have to check.

I'm having a hard time reading the graph. Can you post the before/after HP/TQ and rpms for the peak. I have Hondata with K/N drop in filter on my 08. The RDX is a lot easier to drive with the extra power.

You can click on the links that I posted under each photo for a better view of the graphs, let me know if you cannot see them

Gmedalion, please repost you pics with a greater resolution! They are currently too small to see, and the links are even smaller

Sorry guys,

Go to this link

http://public.fotki.com/Gmedalion/rdx-dyno/

Click on the photo and then at the bottom of the photo it says "Get Original Uploaded Photo" in blue and you should be able to see it then.

Let me know if you're having problems.

Thanks they work great now!

Wow!.. This is some significantly important info here!

These charts show that the CP-E intake, as a mod by itself, has quiet a rich and very safe airfuel ratio (in the 10s) while giving some power increase (as known from previous experience and not these charts)!
Some people were suggesting that CP-E made the power that it does by leaning the A/F ratio and be that as it may the resulting ratio is shown to be still very conservative and safe. So you can imagine how rich the RDX is from the factory!
That being said, it was also suggested that combining CP-E with Hondata may be leaning towards being unsafe, but here again we see that the A/F ratios are very safe (in the 11s) which not only give the advertised increase in power but should also give an increase in mpg. Plus the fact that Hondata already did this test when formulating their flash!
Great stuff!

The question now remains as to what will happen (A/R ratio wise) with the addition of a downpipe that will eliminate the primary cat, freeing up exhaust gas flow, increasing power abundantly, and further leaning the mixture?! It was shown somtime ago that with a stock ecu, custom downpipe (no cats), and an intake, the a/fs were hovering around the 11.6 area.
Hmmm.... adding the flash my put it in the High 11 low 12 region.... still safe but not as

I wonder if it will be safe if I add an exhaust or DP next.

wspy, so if i'm reading the charts correctly, since we're a-ways from 14.7 from an AFR perspective, it DOES seem safe to run CP-E + Hondata together. Is this true?

Also, I assuming a K&N Typhoon would run similar to the CP-E, is this safe?

What AFR range do you want to be in on a Turbo motor?

Anywhere from 12.5 to 10 is good

I wonder what the tube diameter around the CPE is? The K&N Typhoon is around 74mm which is same as stock.

Yes and yes, an afr in the 14.7 to 13's is ok when you are off boost just cruising around town, when you go on boost you want the mixture richer thus the 12.5 and up.
Both the intakes give an increase in power; I believe the CP-E produces a little more because it was 'tuned' to lean out the mixture a little more thusly producing more power.
Reguardless of the diameter of the pipes employed both systems produce a power increase
