I have a 2011 RXD with a leaky headlight lense. Once or twice in the winter, I'll pull the high beam bulb out and blow a hair dryer into the headlight for about 20 minutes, and that clears it up. lately, though, I've noticed that the high beam (which is also the daytime beam) is now aimed higher on that side. I checked to make sure that the bulb is inserted correctly, engaging on all 3 lugs and turned tight. Is it possible that I may have tweaked the mount and it needs to be tweaked back? Is the bulb directional, with a top and a bottom?

scour through the owners manual real quick to see if they included the headlight aiming procedure.

if not, you can check out youtube, as most honda's use the same headlight adjustment wheel, located on top of the headlight if you were looking down. (hood needs to be open, if that wasnt clear)

find a level place with a wall, and I BELIEVE you have to be 25feet away.
measure correctly!

then i forgot the rest of the aiming procedure, but if you google or youtube, you'll find it quickly

The headlight aiming procedure in the manual moves the entire headlight bucket, low- and high beam alike. My low beam is where it should be, so that's not the issue. It's only the high beam on the side (driver's) that I remove to deal with the moisture that accumulates on the inside of the lens. I think I somehow tweaked the mounting ring when I removed/replaced the bulb to get the hair dryer in there. Any thoughts?

Yesh either that or somehow tweaked the bulb

I don't know much about it but I know there is a cut-off at the top. It's a straight line cutoff to keep the light from blinding oncoming traffic.

If the cutoff is now at the bottom, flip it so the cutoff is at the top.

if you tweaked or broke something.....you will never get back to normal unless you buy a new headlight.
