Remote Start Install info from chyllintsx and asterix

Since the RDX is so new there is a lack of this kind of info. Chyllintsx and his installer, Asterix, took alot of time and effort to install the remote start system in eric's RDX, and they were kind enough to type up this document and share it with the rest of us. If you have a remote start system to install, I recommend you print this out and give it to your installer. Thanks Eric & Peter!

but of course, i would like to thank Sasair for scanning me some wiring diagrams which helped us complete this project.

so Peter took the liberty to make up a wiring chart that tells you wat wires to look for and where.... in case you were interested in doing a remote start too...

enjoy

Remote Start/Alarm

For those people that installed remote start/alarm in thier RDX, what brand did you get and did you get the system to work with the factory remote?

Never saw a response to this question. Were you able to salvage the factory remote or did you have to go with a secondary remote?

Thanks

i have a Viper 5900 remote start in my RDX and could not use the factory remote. so i can use either the factory alarm or the Viper but never the two at the same time.
