I bought a used front spoiler off of Ebay. However it did not come with the two strips called covers in the installation directions. Since I have not actually looked at a spoiler installation, I do not know what they actually do. Are they absolutely necessary?

 

I installed a new one a couple of years ago, and don't remember having any strips to install. My vehicle is an 07 RDX. Later years might be different.

 

No. they are not absolutely needed. They just cover up the seem whith the wheel well.

 

the upgraded spoiler is slightly bigger in the wheel wells and the strips fill it in all the way. they are not needed. you will not notice the gap unless you are really looking at it.
