New Brakes

Hey
I am just looking for some pro tips on pads and rotors.

I have a 2011 RDX and just received a call from the dealership saying I should do all 4 pads in the next month or so here and depending how the machining goes possibly rotors too.
I plan to have a friend change them with me (his garage is superior to mine).

Let me know what brands you have had the best luck with or you find are the best quality.

TIA,
geoilersgist

not a super car! so, OEM brakes or an OEM-like aftermarket set will do you wonders!!!!
in the states, we have a franchised auto parts store that carries their own brand of pads and rotors...autozone cmax gold works GREAT and a few dollars cheaper than OEM.

Ok, My local store has some Brembo brakes on sale for almost same price as OEM. I may pick them up and the rotors (also on sale).

I will double check.

I strongly dislike the lack of selection in Canada for a good price

Looks like Amazon has the best deal for quality brakes. I am going to go with:
Akebono ProACT ultra premium ceramics front and back
Centric Parts 120 w/ E-coating front and back.
