Dinoc Carbon Fiber dash kit

Didnt want to jack another thread so starting this one. Here are a few pics of the dash kit that I ordered from here. It is think inserts not just a tape overlay. I didnt use the whole kit as I think that sometimes you can over do it with this stuff.

not bad but the direction of the weave on the wheel isnt symmetrical, there's 4 parts and the weave is going 4 different ways

They look like overlay, you can see them sticking out.
I had that in my RT, looked good, but not stock good, they stick out 'cause it's thick and they peel off overtime, then you have to use crazy glue with a brush to stick them back on, I wouldn't bother.

If I had my choice I would have wanted all the pieces to be cut from the same stock all facing the same direction. When I first got the kit I spent some time thinking about sending it back but now that its on you cant really tell. For some reason the weave really shows up in pictures but when you are sitting in the car its pretty hard to notice.

Call it what you may... They are > 1/16" and while you can see them sticking up its not unattractive.

There is no glue required they have 3M tape backing them and there is NO way these things are coming off easy (assuming you use the included primer).

These are much better than ones made even a year ago.

They are not flush, so it will never look like inserts, and I know they have 3m back tape on it, just like what I had on my RT, wait a year and some of it will start peeling off, trust me, been there done that.

Weird... Out of the 5 kits I have had over the years I only once had the corner of one piece kinda peel up due to a soda getting spilled on it on a hot day.

Some fit into the area that they were cut for and some tape on top. There would be no way to have a kit like this and have them be flush. You would have to get new parts made or just use the tape and the tape will be no where near a durable as these.

Im just going to assume that our tastes are a little different but thanks for your input.

For what its worth, I wouldnt recommend anyone gluing these down. As awesomely permanent as that might be there is no way with the new products (primers and tapes) that these are going to peel off.

you must be refering to the dash kits that is carbon with a plastic coat on top.. this kit he is using is a vinyl stick on stuff with a carbon LOOK it has a slight texture to it too..

it looks good but its not my cup of tea and i kinda think its alittle overboard on a few spots.. but good job doing it

EZZZZY1 i like the shift boot and I see the center console with the same like the shift boot. Where did you get that. You should have went with the leather carbon fiber just like the bmw m3 has the glue on it already and it feels much better then the vinyl. if you guys want i can do it and take pictures and show it.

The shift boot is for a RSX. Its a lot harder than you would think to change it out...
