A/C compressor clutch replacement cost in RDX 2009
I have a 2009 RDX. It has 108,000 miles. I received a notice that the warrant had been extended on the compressor clutch in 2012. I started having problems last summer. I would get in the car and start it up and the ac would not cool, just blow warm air. I would turn it off and wait awhile before turning it back on and it would start cooling again. I had an extended warranty so took it to dealer. They said it worked the whole time they had it, so they couldn't do anything. The warranty ran out in November 2016. Now it is doing the same thing, but much more often. What should be the cost of replacing the compressor clutch? Is it worth the cost, or should I just trade the vehicle?

The compressor clutch shouldn't be too expensive - I believe it's right on the side of your engine, powered by the serpent belt. Few hundred bucks with parts and labor I would think? Someone else with more experience in this area might have a more definitive answer.

is it the a/c clutch or the a/c compressor needed replacing? A/C compressor is ~$200-250 or A/C clutch probably $50-75. It's not hard to do, plenty of youtube video showing you how to replace it, but I think you also need to top off refrigerant.
