Hi there, on my 2008 RDX Tech this has happened several times where the XM satellite radio fades in and out and suddenly all volume is gone UNTIL you shut the car off and restart the car, Irregardless of the channels selected.

Powering down the radio on/off does'nt do it, same issue.

Also I am able to successfully go to the AM/FM band...but forget XM sattelite until the car is re-started...

Anyone else experience or perhaps suggest the issue surrounding this?

Marc - Are you sure you're just not in a bad area where satellite radio is hard to pick up? That would explain why you can get AM/FM but maybe not satellite. The only other thing I can think of is maybe there is a wiring problem with the XM.

I am in a major city...no issues with the satellite signal...I would tend to think more of a wiring problem as turning off the engine and restarting it clears the problem up immediately.... thanks for the suggestion.

and because it's not happening consistently it will be difficult for the dealership to troubleshoot.

I have a customer who just purchased a new 2009 RDX and he is have the same problem. We contacted Acura and there is an investigation as to what is causing this but as of right now there is no fix. He drove a TSX service loaner and it was doing the same thing.

I had an RDX loaner and experienced the same result as in the youtube video in your other thread (i.e., the display entries entirely disappeared from the XM screen). Strange....

Same here 2 times just stop working till I turned off the car and turned it back on 09 RDX .

I have a 2007 RDX that is having the same issues (FM/AM still work but XM slowly fades out with no audio,but still can view the screen. Finally discoved that if I turn engine off and restart car, the XM comes back. Dealer replaced XM with refub part, but still have the same issue.

Had is shop multiple times with no fix or remedy in site.

has any1 got their lost xm signal solve yet? had same issue on my 09 and dealership replace xm mod with new 1, went to pick up my rdx and drove it 3 block away from dealership and lost xm signal again...... turn around and head str8 back to dealership.(as soon as u shut off car and start back up xm work) they have my rdx for 4 day now andtrying to figure out what the cuase. i got an 2010 mdx loaner.

I am having similar issues. I've got a 2007 RDX w/ 65K miles. Sometimes my XM randomly cuts out for 1-2 seconds. In addition when this happens if I hit audio then entries are initially blank. Within a few seconds they start to fill in. Once it redraws that screen correctly, the display screen immediately goes to the map. Someone had posted a link for a TSB found here:

If my problem is what is described in that TSB will Acura cover a TSB repair on an out of warranty car?

Had a 2008 RDX on a 3-year lease. I also had the problem with XM fading in & out then off altogether several times. Had to restart car to get XM back. Got a new 2012 RDX a few weeks ago, no problem yet.
