What about the base model w/o tech/navi?
Hi Guys, I'm currently doing some research on my next car and RDX is one of them. I've searched and read many posts on the iPod ingetration kits (Neo, Dice, USEApec). And most of the owners have the tech package. Has anyone installed any of those adaptors with just the base model? If so, will the information from the iPod still being able to display on the LCD screen?
I hope I can get some feedback from you guys. Thank you. |
'11 RDX Base...Better Late Than Never
If I remember right, we plug ours into the console lead and it displays on the lcd with steering wheel controls.
No adapter needed. |
My car is base model. The sound system is good, my google phone is the best nav ever use.
It can connect with iPod thru USB. I don't see much reason get pay extra $3000 for the tech package |
I also can connect my iphone via bluetooth. But no artist/title info displays on the lcd with bluetooth vs usb.

I did install ipod integration on my RDX base and also hd radio. display artist or song/ album will display on your LCD screen.
|
you can also control the ipod using your factory stereo.
FYI the HD radio is good also if you have HD signal in your area but if not do not install or add this because it will weaken your analog fm signal. |
this is the display screen of my hd radio, it looks the same for ipod
