RDX + HTC Thunderbolt (Verizon)
My dog chewed up my BB Tour last night, so I'm in need of a new phone, and quickly. The Thunderbolt is intriguing, but it's new, so it's not yet on the HFL site for comparison. Has anyone tried it in the RDX yet?
My Tour was not fully compatible with the HFL, and would not allow me to make calls directly from HFL. I had to use my phone and then it would transfer over. Rather annoying, and I wouldn't do it while I was driving. I'd prefer to have the phone be compatible with this feature.

I'm pleased to report that the Thunderbolt is compatible with the HFL.
I finally had a chance to try it out. I actually paired it on Sunday, but didn't have a chance to place a call from it until last night. I still need to read the manual on the exact procedure - I didn't know you have to import the numbers before you can place a call through the HFL. I guess my next step is to import my phonebook. I just did one number last night as a test call.

I was gonna tell you it would as the HTC EVO 4G (which I have) and Thunderbolt are brothers and it works fine on HFL but not on AcuraLink. They'll both soon be upgrade to android 2.3 Gingerbread starting in the next few months. Since the new EVO 3D on Sprint has 2.3 at release, the EVO 4G will recieve the upgrade sooner than Thunderbolt. Enjoy your new phone. HTC makes the best phones and HTC sense UI on Android and WM6.5 is a great thing.
