Just curious which most of you guys prefer. I started out with North up but just changed it today to Heading up. I think I like this better but not overly sure.

I put my Heading up all the time.

 

I only use North Up when I zoom way out to see where I am in the state. Otherwise, always heading up.

 

+1 for North up when zoomed out, and heading up for zoomed in.

 

In fact, mine AUTOMATICALLY switches to north-up when zoomed out beyond the 50-mile or so level. But I am always in heading-up otherwise. In a loaner car, this is the first thing I adjust if it's in north-up!

 

I prefer heading up because of my military days in the Army and land navigating using a map and compass. We always orientated our map in the direction of travel to recognize terrain features and landmarks as check points to our destination.

north up for now but I'll try the other mode soon, I remember heading up was better on the TomTom

I tried north up once and got completely confused. Probably because I was so used to heading up by then.
