Nav system locked up, asking for PIN?

Guys, my RDX has just done this for the 2nd time,,.

After sitting in the car with the lights/radio on for ~20mins, the battery appears to drain to near dead. I can't start the car. Also, the dashboard instrument lights (on the tach, etc) freak out and flash 'Goodbye'/'Welcome'.

Letting the car rest for a minute without the key in the ignition seemed to work and it then started up.

However, it then for the first time ever asked me for a PIN on the nav screen. I tried a bunch of number combos with no luck. Then the screen went dark and none of the nav-related buttons are responding at all now. The screen sits black.

Turning the car off and on doesn't help. I'm no longer prompted for a PIN.

Anyone have these issues? Any solutions?
Thanks.

The PIN should have been on a card given to you with your owner's manual, etc. My dealer was very careful to point it out--in fact, I had to initial that I had received it.

brizley is exactly right. In fact I had the same experience with my dealership. He told me to make sure I didn't keep it in my car or else if someone stole the system they would be able to use it.

^ what they said.

About the battery draining quick, check the TSB sections I think there is one on a power leak with the audio system that can cause it to drain more power then it should killing the battery.

but he said it was with the lights/radio on...that power issue was the amp draining the battery when the car was off and parked for a week or so. shouldnt have drained that quickly. take it to the dealer
