Importing phone entries over Bluetooth on RDX?
Importing phone entries over Bluetooth on RDX?
I know that the Acura TL advertises importing of phonebook entries from your mobile phone over bluetooth--does anyone know if this is possible with the RDX Tech? If so, is there a "how to" available online (or another thread)? Thanks in advance...

If it can import your phonebook it will do it automatically without input from you. My aftermarket one in my MX-5 does this. Once it is pared its ready to go.
Mine didn't import any of my phone numbers, also it does not display who is calling which I think is a pain. Also still trying to figure out how to enter my code numbers for voice mail etc.
Hands-free-link is working well for me. In looking at the web site, it looks like most phones have at least one unsupported feature. The biggest problem for me is that if my Treo has an alarm alert showing, the HFL can't dial the phone. I'll tell it to call, and it will say "calling", but after several seconds it times out. So I have to grab the treo and clear the alarm. Then I can call. But this is Palms problem, not Acura's.

The HFL is weak if ask me. The voice command is not reliable, it's a pain to update the phone book and I can't use my phone to initiate calls without the audio being muted. For my purposes, the HFL is very limited.
BTW, if need to store more than 50 phone numbers, you can use the Nav to store your address/phone listing.

The RDX does not import any phonebook entries over bluetooth. The MDX and TL both support this feature. On the RDX all phonebook entries have to be entered manually by voice or also the jog wheel in the nav address book.

If you have a blackberry that connects to a BES, if you disable the password, you'll also disable the connection to the BES since the two are tied together. If you have a blackberry that doesn't connect to a BES, but at one time it did, it may still have the auto lock out feature active. You can disable it by following the procedure on this website:

SASAIR,
Thanks again RDX guru. Turns out I can set the BB to allow outgoing calls even when it is locked. No need to bypass or undo the corporate security standard.
