How do I add a USB to my 2008 Tech?
There was a white plastic cover looking thing in the centre console and I pried it off and it's evident that there is no USB... behind it.
How do I add one? Is there a harness from a 2009+ I can use?

....figured out that little plastic cover looking thing is actually the center consol light. Since I popped it off the bulb and wire are now loose inside...that'll teach me to go prying at things! I guess I'll have to take apart the shifter and cupholder assembly to fix it.

You would need to swap the actual audio head unit and possibly a control unit that goes along with it.

Only way you can add USB connectivity is with this:

Unfortunately, it's pricey. Amazon is the cheapest place I can find it: I ALMOST pulled the trigger. But then I had to re-evaluate:
Do I use any other type of USB devices to play music besides my iphone or ipod? No.
Do I ever plan on buying a non-apple music player? No.
Saved myself a $100 and went with this: Very difficult to use if you don't read the instructions and just jump right into it. But once you do some trial and error and play around with it, it becomes easy to use.
