Has anyone done a flip down monitor?
My wife recently purchased her RDX and took our first road trip in it. While we were away, we spent some time in my Dad's SUV which had headrest screens and it really helped keep my kids happy during the drive. I've seen the headrest replacement screens, but they seem to be running about $1500 for the factory matched ones, and I don't think I'd want the generic ones. I've found some slim mount flip down's that seem to be the best option. Has anyone installed a flip down? Any advice or even better pictures would be great.

not an SUV ...a Big Hatch
Haven't heard of anyone thats done it. What year? Do you have USB input?
Our older ones didn't, but we added ipod adapters.
You should be able to do an ipad for a decent price, of course you'd all have to hear the sound.
then again, you also get to use the ipad whenever you're not in the car.

I agree, would have been a nice factory option. Well, for anyone interested in doing one, I've looked at most of the options and the Clarion VT810B seems to be the best option so far. It's compact enough it should be too obtrusive and has some nice features. I've ran some Clarion gear in the past and it's always been good. I'll update this once I finally have something installed.

Sorry Bighatch, I completely missed your earlier post. It's a 2008 with no USB. I thought about integrating a tablet and looked at 100 different mounts, but having the kids being able listen to their stuff while we were listening to ours is important. There are IR transmitters for 1/8" jack, but didn't want a bunch wires all over the car even if they are removable. I think I found a good headrest solution that isn't too expensive and would look pretty close to factory. I also would like to integrate a zune, by putting a dock in the center console, but that will probably down the road. Now I just need to figure out what I want first.
1. RSE for the kids
2. Hondata
3. Small sub
4. Radar detector
I'm trying to talk the wife into all of them right now, but just got laid off and unemployment doesn't go very far and I don't think I'm in a winning battle.
