Full vs. split screen nav?

Full screen automatically switches to split screen when you approach a corner (maybe a mile for a freeway offramp) so it is sort of the "best of both worlds" unless you really like having the next corner displayed 100% of the time. Also, you can hit the "Map/Guide" button in the default full-screen mode and see the next corner at any time (and scroll through all of the corners scheduled for the trip on that 2nd screen).
The split screen mode gives you the ability to switch the overlay from "next turn detail" mode to "directions" mode, but the directions you see in that mode are not as detailed as hitting the jog dial for the map menu and selecting "directions". Also, in split screen mode you only ever have access to the "next" turn - you can't switch to the turn-by-turn detail mode that you have access to in full-screen mode.
If you have nav/traffic then you can see more area to look for traffic problems in the full screen mode (though a landscape screen isn't the best aspect ratio when you are driving N/S or if you have it in "Heading Up" mode. )
In my mind, the split screen mode is like having sub-par versions of 2 of the full-screen features on display all the time with no ability to get rid of them.

flar, You know..... you are the most knowledgeable person on this board when it comes to the high tech aspects of the RDX. You must be a computer guy. You have figured out every aspect of what the car can and cannot do. I love reading your posts. I am still working on how to clear previous destinations! Did you ever think about becoming a product specialist for Acura? You'd be great!

Well, at least one person on this planet appreciates my geekiness.
Now, if only that offset all of the people who have hung themselves while chatting with me at parties.
But, to answer your question I think previous destinations can be cleared somewhere in the setup menus (which I always find confusing and have to dig around to find what I'm looking for). I think it is in the personal settings screen. You can delete them one by one or all at once from there.
