Confirming the Navi update?
I have 2007 RDX and haven't updated the navi since then. Last week I got the White v4.92 Navi and replaced the DVD in my car. Right after I inserted the new, it said downloading and after 2-3 minutes it finished without any errors and then it reset. Everything seemed normal.
However I haven't noticed any difference. Some major road changes, like a new interstate from last year in my region is not there. Is there anyway to check the loaded DVD version on the system? I feel like, it is still using old data but I am not sure.
TIA

The only thing that actually 'loads' is the new firmware. The nav data stays on the DVD - so as long as you truly have the new version (and not someone's old relabeled disk), then you have the newer data. I have upgraded twice since I got my 07 (in 06), and I've noticed very little change. It's a very unsatisfying $185 bucks.

Thank you. I saw "Zagat 2010" somewhere in the navi menu. So I saw something changed, lol. But yeah, I agree it is a big waste paying $185. I was at least expecting to see that new interstate changed from a highway 2 years ago.

The updates seem to be SEVERAL years behind. The latest update just added a major road near me that was built like 5 years ago. I think we're up to 6.9M points of interest too....although nobody is interested in most of them. Most cheapo standalone GPS units have more - and more useful ones.
