Back up camera retrofit
Just picked up my second RDX, a 2008. It doesn't have the back up camera/rearview mirror like my later Gen 1 RDX, 2011. Is it possible to get the camera/rearview mirror from a junkyard and "plug - n play" in the 2008? I am guessing the wiring is already there, since it was an option in the 2008?

My 2009 RDX has it in the infotainment screen, I never heard of it in the rear view mirror. Maybe you could get an aftermarket mirror with a rear view camera installed. The wiring wouldn’t be their because it would cost them money for the harness.

Back up camera retrofit
i really want to stay with stock parts. I am thinking this will work as non technology pkg cars do have a back up camera option ( my 2011 for example).

The wiring is not present in the non tech car.
You'll have to install some form of aftermarket system as I did.

So I ordered the backup camera and mirror/display from a 2011 RDX. Where can I get a wiring diagram/schematic? I will be happy to post pics and my project results when the job is done.

I do not recommend Repairsurge, going to try to get a refund and also cancel my subscription. They could not produce all the wiring diagrams I requested. They had one for the Tech Package but not base model. I have ordered additional wiring diagrams elsewhere. I will be getting with my friend, an electrician (he wired my hotrod) to install the back-up camera and mirror. I thought I could post pics and the steps for the install. How do I do that?
