'08 RDX: is there an aux input?

Hi everyone,

Just purchased a used '08 RDX with tech. Does it come with an aux input to plug my phone into to listen to music? There are two things in the center console, one seems to be a power outlet, and the other has a plastic cap over it. I think this might be it? I've tried to get the cap off but it is on there good. Don't want to force it if it is not in fact the aux input area.

Yes, the plastic cap in the lower right of the stereo faceplate is the aux input. In fact, it should "aux" on it. Just pry that plastic cap open. Maybe it was never touched previously and that's why it's stuck.

Do you know if the one in the center console is also an input source? Maybe aux isnt the right word but were I can directly connect my iphone with the lighting cable?

There is no place to directly connect your iPhone. 08 RDX has no USB ports anywhere. The only "port" in the center console (inside the armrest) is the cigarette lighter. There is another cigarette lighter just underneath the stereo faceplate, under a little flip up lid.

In the middle arm rest the plastic cap your talking about is a light that turns on when you turn your headlights on so you can see what’s inside when it’s dark out.

Then you have the cigarette lighter next to it in the middle arm rest that stays on even when you shut the vehicle off.

Now by the radio controls you have another cigarette lighter that turns off with the vehicle. As well as a aux socket that you can connect older phones too that have aux ports still also know as headphone jacks.
