Yokohama Envigor

Just put these on today after much research. Good price, supposedly great handling and tread life, 60K warranty. Replaced the crappy stock Michelins that only had perhaps 25K on them. Had to replace them because even though there was tread left, they hydroplaned brutally.

Stay tuned- I'll report on their performance.

Avid Envigor Assessment

Had them on now for about 1000 miles and they're so much better than the stock Michelins. Handling, wet performance and I even notice braking is better. They are very quiet at highway speeds. One interesting observation is a slight amount of understeer when entering a curve which transitions to neutral handling. Easy to get used to.
The 60K warranty is nice and they were less expensive than the Conti DWS or other tires in this class. The test results from Yoko are quite impressive.
So far, so good.

Please come back and add to this review in six months to a year. Tires can really change after they break in (sometimes for the better).

I'm really interested in getting these for my 09 tsx but I'm concerned about them being so new so no reviews yet.

Do you know how these compare to Yokohama's s-drive (summer) tire?

S.Drives are ultra high-performance summer tires. AVID ENVigors are high-performance all season tires.

Think of the S.Drive as a 335i and the AVID ENVigor as a '06 325i. That's the difference in performance that you are looking at. The S.Drives will handle better, stop faster and feel more stable, but at the expense of treadlife (25-30k max out of the S.Drives) and the lack of any snow traction or winter performance.
