Why I bought the RDX after 26 days of research...

Yes, this is a rerepost of this link. But really, I really think it sums my thoughts on the RDX up. When you watch the video it truly shows what this vehicle is about..fun. Its a joy to drive but you still get some cargo capacities. I didnt want a sedan but I feel still got the benefits of driving one but with the SUV pluses I was looking for. This vehicle handles so wonderfully. And this video gives you a sense of the capabilities which honestly as they mention prob 99% of the owners may not take advantage on a day to day basis. But sometimes..oh yes. It is such a great handling vehicle and is so fun to drive..that is why I buy a vehicle. And I question whether the Muranos and CX-7s could have been put through the same test on this video. I still have lots of cargo room compared to my Murano prior, more headroom, better interior, and handling like no other. It seems like we are all glorified RDX promoters, but I really think this vehicle will do that to anyone who owns it...it gets you that excited about driving it everyday. My work commute has never been so good...

The wife and I were looking over the RDX at our local Acura dealership and we both felt that it is not that comparable to the Murano (of which we own an 05 SL AWD). As we took a family (of four) vacation to Florida in our Murano, the RDX does not have the luggage space and rear seat legroom of the Murano.

As far as handling goes, the Murano is sporty but not sporting (i.e.: RDX) as it has more of a touring car setup, straddling between good handling and respectable ride quality. I am fairly certain the RDX would better the Mo when it comes to handling, although the Mo will likely outhandle most other SUVs (save for the FX, Cayenne, SRX and maybe the X3).

All in all, we would consider the RDX as a replacement for my 02 Maxima (which I really am considering) but not for our 05 Murano. That said, we both love the RDX...and that is without having driven it yet. Congrats on your purchase.
