What diagnosis software is recommended?

if you are referring to the check engine codes.. any decent ODBII scanner will do, if you want something more then that hondata flashpro for our vehicle has a bluetooth function that will also tell you if you have thrown a code.. never tested it thought

Cheapest solution if you have an Android phone would be a bluetooth OBDII reader off Amazon for ~$15, and the free Torque app. I imagine there is a similar app on iOS as well. You can read / reset codes as well as monitor and log various vehicle parameters.

1) the easiest, simplest and unprofessional.
Buy an ELM327 scanner on Ebay.
Cost: around $5-12
You will need to install an app to your tablet/Iphone/Smartphone.
It is capable of reading general standard sensors info and common OBDII codes. You can read the codes and delete them.
2) professional option.
Buy a HDS (Honda Diagnostic System) chinese clone on Ebay.
Original one is what all Honda/Acura dealerships use in their shops. It cost thousands of bucks.
However you can buy a very cheap chinese clone on Ebay for $100-140.
It will come with internal software. You can update it downloading updates from torrents.
It allows you to have a full access to your ECU. You can recalibrate throttle body position sensor, for example. With MDXs you can upload transmission updates. No updates for RDXs though.
3) Hondata FlashPro. Well, you can find all info on hondata.com
