Keep in mind that the RDX already has a pretty stiff ride. If you upgrade to the 19" wheels with the lower profile tires, your going to feel every imperfection in the road.

I went with 17" rims and Blizzak DM-Z3's...waiting for the snow to arrive to tell you. They do ride a little smoother, slightly louder, and unfortunately new they felt as if they were almost gliding...i hear that is the lubricant to keep them off the mold.

17"
Yes, if I end up buying one set, I will definitely go for the 17". The 17" rim + tires package price is way cheaper than the 18". I think it is like $1299 vs 2199 in Toronto, and I don't think the 1" make any different to the appearance ! And I definitely don't want any stiffer ride from the 19"

fine
It is fine, a little stiff, but definitely feel better than my RSX Don't expect it will be as quiet and soft as RX350 as Lexus aims on luxury and comfortable, not sporty.
I guess we have to choose between Sport vs Comfortable
So as I said, if you don't want any stiffer, don't get the 19" with thinner tires. We are not driving a race car on track anyway. Otherwise, we would probably go for a TL Type S instead if we purely want the speed and responsiveness.

Might I ask what kind of 17' rims you purchased?

Three Wheelin'
I went with the 18" Blizzak DM-Z3 in the stock size. I plan on changing wheels in the spring so will leave the snows on the stock rims. Will stick with 18" wheels when I buy new ones though and probably just use the oem tires.
The vehicle and the tires have done very well in the snow and ice to this point. Not disappointed in the handling at all in the snow. It does what I was hoping for in moving to the RDX.

I am going to stick with the factory all-weather tires on the car.

And make sure the smaller wheels will accomodate the brake calipers and rotors. It is a consideration now that cars are coming with bigger wheels and there is more room for brake hardware. Sometimes smaller wheels will not fit.
