Sport Pedals / Splash guards
Just for looks.... Has anyone put them on? I see them on ebay for under $20. Aluminum.
I liked these on my IS300 and I think they would look cool on the RDX...so I ordered them.
I picked up some spash gaurds at the dealer yesterday too and put them on in just a few minutes. They look nice and hopefully will keep the sides cleaner for longer.
Highly recommended.

Sport Pedals
HI,
I saw those sport pedals but was concerned about the brake pedal. I did not like the idea of it being all metal and having no rubber at all ... for slippage/safety reasons.
So I took matters into my own hands. I really liked the Infiniti G35 pedal look and the brake pedal has rubber edges and pegs. So I actually fitted the gas pedal and brake pedal onto the RDX. I will be making a foot rest pedal to match.
I think it looks really awesome in the RDX. The aluminum pedals match the silver trim and it ties the interior together. Looks really sporty, Acura add sport pedals as an accessory.

Designer pedals sound kind of silly. No one is going to see them in down there, not even you.
Splash guards make sense in the rain or mud. Most of the dirt on my car was behind the wheels until I mounted the splash guard. Now I don't need to wash nearly as often.

Not applicable for you XIS since you're in "The Desert" but in the winter in Canada, we get quite a bit of gravel and sand/salt on the roads and I think the guards also help to keep the gravel from shooting out from under the tires and into the front end or windshield of someone driving behind you. Problem is not everybody has them here....I'm dreading the first rock chip I get , but I know it's inevitable.

Johnny,
They do sound silly, but they look cool. I did get a ton on comments on those in the IS for some reason... Now without them, it looks kinda cheap to me. Like a Ford or something.
ShadowGirl, we get tons of rocks and gravel here too.

I have a friend who just bought a C6 Corvette, and he went whole hog, covering the entire hood and front fenders, rocker panels, trailing edges of the wheel wells rear bumpers, door handle scoop areas, etc.

Thanks Chas I'll have a look at the link you provided. I was on the fence about getting the 3M paintshield because it seemed like it would only protect the paint from chipping, but not from getting a dent. Plus, I wasn't sure about longterm looks, whether the rest of the vehicle would end up looking faded over time compared with the areas covered by the 3M material? It was also very pricey at the dealership - approx $1,000 CDN if I recall correctly.
