Sell RDX for Ridgeline?

The new 14 Ridgeline is coming out with a special edition model that has all the options from the RTL and the Sport model, What do you guys think? I hear they are taking off around 6K off MSRP where I live. The reasons are for the sake of having a new vehicle and I really like the in bed trunk. I think the cons are that It wont have HID's and the mpgs are not as good.

I think you're talking about the Sport with leather/Navi. As temping as it sound you might want to wait and see the 2nd gen. I came from a 2007 RTX model and there's a lot that I missed from the truck. The trunk in bed is more of a novelty. You'll find more useful things to stored there than you think. You'll suffer a little in few MPG but it takes regular octane so the difference isn't much when compared to the RDX.

As for HID, unless you retrofit them, you're stuck with the simple plug-n-play. but there's not a lot has changed since 2006 like non-telescopic adjustment for steeling wheel, old Navi unit and a weak V6 motor.

These "trucks" aren't moving. So you can get a crazy deal as you mention in your post. Check out the http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/ if you need more info.

I'd like to do a 2" lift and the usual honda accessories, I think it looks pretty nice, I only know one person who actually likes the truck, everyone else I know hates it, but it seems all my friends are not honda fans to begin with so that probably has something to do with it. Ha.

Not really, they are pretty rare down here and everyone thinks its a joke. People need to feel good and say they have the biggest baddest truck to drive to work in the city.

I'm really torn between buying a real truck and getting the new JGC and a trailer next year. I rarely need a real truck, but when I do it's for things you'd never put in the back of your SUV, like ground cover or large bookcases. Trouble is I have no place to store the trailer. But the space in the back of a real 4X4 pickup would be wasted 98% of the year...

If they ever come out with the street sport concept - I would consider it.

Yeah - the neon has to go.
A bigger or stronger engine needs to go in the ridgeline.

I hear the main focus on the new 2016 version will be on the powertrain, so maybe it will have the engine of the current MDX 3.5L 290HP. I think I'm set on the Special Edition in white.
