I emailed quirkparts.com earlier. I definitely want something other than the decal that is being offered through Acura for the RDX. Any other thoughts on getting a non-brand descript step plate? Just a thought for those of us who are not satisfied with our immediate option.

Don't know if it would be what you want, but the cargo liner has a flap that can cover the rear bumper when the tailgate is open.

I am also looking for something more robust than the clear sticker. I would like something like the Molded Black Rubber strip that comes on the MDX. I want it to keep the bumper from getting scratched and also serve as an anti-skid pad when i am trying to take off my ski boots after a hard day on the snow. Anybody seen anything ?

The same type of thing happened when I got the brand new 2001 MDX. They didn't offer very many quality accessories Just be patient, and don't worry about scratching the bumper. Acura will offer a real cover for the 08 RDX, similar to what is on the MDX.
