RDX NY auto show photos. w/ MDX

I couldn't get too many good shots because too many people were around it. Here you guys go, interior is basically like the RL, but with a rebadged Honda civic Si steering wheel. In addition check out the MDX concept.

Don't like the MDX concept. It's not an immediate eyecatcher like the TL was. With the TL, it was HOT from the very first spy pictures and I wanted one badly enough to place a preorder for it. The MDX.....now looks like a slightly differently shaped Lexus RX330.

I still like the RDX's looks, except for the stock wheels. Those would be my winter wheels and I'd probably buy 19's for the summer.

I agree, the MDX concept is not too good looking. The Rear lights look like they have been taken off an audi a4. The headlights are like the corner lights of a TL as the front combined with the projectors of a TSX/TL. (Basically, reversed tail lights corner is front). The MDX when I saw it, it was relatively large, interior had basically nothing from what I saw it was boxes or cardboard through the tinted windows. And I don't like the front fascia and the grill. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for the great pics! I actually find the MDX pretty hot! I know it is derivative but overall it's a great looking vehicle (though they do have to tone down that front grille a bit on the production model and I know they will!!!).

On the other hand, I need to see the RDX in person to really judge it....

Question RDX Review brief

Thanks for those photos, the only thing though; it should not be in the concept lineup. I think the wheels are to traditional, the should have been larger 20's - 22's

Question Front Break and rotors replacement

Guys, I want to replace my front rotors now that they are done. I bought the drake pads from the dealer but now I'm thinking of using some profprmance rotors from Brembo (could use suggestions of others brands). Do you thing those pads can still work?

I think you're in the wrong forum.

I actually like the MDX concept much more than I thought I would. It was imposing, looked more modern than the current MDX that was a few feet to its left, and had a lot more subtleties than what is seen in the pics. I bet you guys don't even see the two gill slits on top of the hood. There are creases and lines that just don't show up in pictures, I think it's the color. If it were in black maybe you can see those lines better.

I didn't like the grille, though. I would've liked to see a normal Acura grille, not this mini-shield/crest in the front.

Near 40K base price, per the early rumor mill.

hmm, that sounds like the RX330 MSRP.

Hopefully they get some discounts in the future.

My contribution to the forum, another pic of the MDX Concept:

I actually like the general look of it. Once they make it more production realistic its gonna look pretty good.

^ That pic captures the subtle lines I was referring to. You can barely see them in the official Honda press release photos. I love the wheel arches, looks beefy.

Overall I have to say that I like both the RDX and the MDX. I agree that the front end of the MDX isn't great, but that is the concept version, I'm sure that it won't be the same for the production version.

Thanks for sharing these pictures.

I'm just not a big fan of the sides and rears of the redesigns. Although I love the new interior of the RDX.
