RDX Mods
Still working on my 2010 RDX, I am thinking of adding a CAI but am not sure of which one. Any advice? Has anyone installed a Weapon-R? Also has anyone installed a Weapon-R Sheet metal intake, their ad claims big power gains but not sure. Have 3" exhaust, cat back and K&N panel filter but still want to try more. Going to pick up flash pro this winter, I am in Canada so importing is kind of a pain.

Hey Danika,
What about cold air and less pipe loss (bends).
Underhood intake air feed seems the norm here.
I remember when AEM used to offer intakes with a long (cold air) and a short (underhood) option. (Well before RDX era)
We have same body style. Which can easily be modded to a true cold air intake.
So I'm coming out as pro choice. And you can be too!
I opened the fake grill at the d/s fog light and removed everything upstream of the stock housing. Then I ducted cold air thru the fog shroud to the filter box. Its nearly a straight run and takes out a muffler/silencer and about 270 degrees of turn out vs stock.
I posted about it (poorly) but you can see the simple steps that need to be done. I have not seen anyone else do this mod.
Thoughts? Opinions?

We've had some great feedback from the K&N Typhoon. It's not a cold air intake in the traditional sense that it has tons of bends and goes all the way into the front bumper. It does feature a full plastic shield to protect against heat soak.
We have it available for $298.04 not including shipping.

^ Naming it "Typhoon System Cold Air" is the opposite of truth in advertising.
There is no cold air under the hood.
Why is there not a true cold air intake for the 2010-2012 iteration that draws fresh cold air from the (modded open) fog shroud.
There are no bends, its a straight shot.
Not even ounces or pounds, let alone tons of bends. Zero! : )
Why? Anyone? Buhler, Buhler? Ferris Buhler?
Cold air? Why bother, right?
