RDX and MDX

I went to the dealer this afternoon, and parked beside a MDX. It was so funny that I thought it was a RDX and kept wondering how come the dash looks a bit different (I was checking it out from the windows) until my wife told me from the back of that car (she saw the MDX badge).

And we misidentified another one parked outside when we left the dealership........:P

I guess the easiestway to tell difference is from the front. Otherwise, it is quite hard to tell from the rear especially , or from the side.

lol, I agree, it's just like I had a hard time telling the difference between a X3 and X5 when they first came out, unless I looked at the front.

X5

At least I notice X5 is wider than X3, MDX isn't any wider than RDX (maybe a tiny little if any)

Totally agree, when I went in for service on the rdx I was looking at one and wondering why they didnt finish the roof rack. It only had the side rails. But It was a mdx I thought it was a rdx untill I saw the badge and the front end.

Rdx

Yes, I guess they (RDX & MDX) are the closest looking two models in one brand name I have ever seen ! Almost like comparing a FX35 to a FX45 :P

The MDX is about 5 inches wider than the RDX, and it can be felt.

The two look similar, but IMO the X5 and X3 are more similar looking.

YES! Esp. if you don't own an RDX [yet?...hmm]...i did the same thing at the dealer the other day. Saw an MDX and thought it was RDX, right after a test drive in the R. Even after my sales guy told me it was an M, i was like, "Well...wait...it LOOKS like an RDX..."

LOL!
